The year 2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’, Pope’s Francis’ encyclical subtitled "on care for our common home".   In it, the Pope laments the destruction of nature and climate, criticizes irresponsible economic development and the culture of consumerism, and calls all people of the world to take "swift and unified global action" to protect God’s creation.

To mark the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’, CRA has launched the “10,000 for 10” campaign, an initiative to encourage CRA members nationally to plant and/or protect 10,000 trees on land either owned and/or accessed by Religious Institutes.

For CRA members who do not own or cannot access land, or are not in a position to plant a tree themselves, this could be replaced by donations to a not-for-profit organisation focused on regenerative projects.

We hope that you will join us in this exciting challenge and invite you to access the many resources made available through this webpage.

We extend our since thanks to the National Ecology Alliance Committee (EAC) co-chairs Sue Martin and Sally Neaves for being the inspiration behind this initiative, as well as all EAC members for supporting and driving it.
