Margie Abbott RSM will lead those attending in a series of practices, offering insights into the theoretical underpinnings of her work. The sessions will include examples, discussion, and creative interaction. The focus is on ecological spirituality, encompassing practical exercises and thoughtful exploration. The goal is to foster confidence among participants, empowering them to return to their congregations, capable of cultivating, practicing, and celebrating ecological spirituality. This initiative also aims to further develop and strengthen an existing ecological spirituality.

Speaker Bios
Margie Abbott RSM
Margie Abbott RSM is inspired by a dynamic and creative impulse and offers courses and retreats in eco-spirituality which integrate her qualifications, lifelong learning, and passionate desire to share her gifts. Her qualifications include MA Theology, MA Pastoral Ministry. Margie is the author of four Earth ritual books all of which show how her understanding of science, theology and cosmology have evolved over the years. In her private practice Margie offers supervision, spiritual direction, agapes, retreats, and eco workshops.
Sally Neaves
Sally is co-chair of the CRA Ecology Alliance Committee and the Integral Ecology Animator and Mission/Ministry Resource Coordinator for the Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea (ISMAPNG). As part of her role, she oversees the Institute’s commitment to the Laudato Si’ Goals, especially eco-spirituality, the Mercy Integral Ecology Emerging Leaders program and “Slow the Flow - Eugowra” a whole-catchment post-disaster adaptation response in rural NSW.
Sue Martin
Sue is the Reconciliation with Creation project officer with the Australian Jesuits, and Catholic Earthcare Coordinator within Caritas. Sue has a being active with the Pacific Climate Watch group, the Faith and Ecology Network and Australian Religious Response to Climate Change. Sue has an agricultural science degree with a post graduate teaching qualification and a Cert IV in carbon management and was trained in 2011 to become a Climate Reality Leader by Al Gore in Jakarta. Sue also volunteers commitment to ecology and lgnatian spirituality.
