FOR MEMBERS OF RELIGIOUS INSTITUTES AND LAY WORKERS
CRA will be hosting an Information Session to learn about a trauma healing workshop that will be led by Nicole Rotaru RSM. The Information Session and workshops are available to any member of your religious institute so feel free to circulate this information.
Nicole has led workshops in PNG that may be helpful for our religious in Australia. These workshops have supported religious in learning more about trauma generally, and their own trauma. We have all experienced situations that have caused an inner wounding that may have limited our full potential and flourishing. As Nicole says, sometimes we have a sense that ‘something is not quite right’. Often that sense is unattended trauma. The following comments were made by Sisters who participated in one of Nicole’s workshop:
The workshop helped me unload my wounds and come out from myself. My resilience increased and helped me have courage and to speak up.
I learned to know myself more and to acknowledge my painful experiences. This gave me more awareness of my different feelings and how to deal with the triggers that caused my fear and shame.
These participants recognised their trauma and learned how to manage their wounding and come to a greater sense of inner freedom.
We are looking at whether people are interested in such workshops here and so are holding an Information Session for Nicole to talk with you about what may be possible and to see if there is any interest.
Please note that this information session is for members of religious institutes and lay workers.
