This two-day event will involve in-depth discussions about theological and social research and stories about spiritual, psychological and sexual harm in communities of Catholic Women Religious. The content may be emotionally challenging.

Speakers:
Dr Ute Leimgruber and Dr Magdalena Huerten from the University of Regensburg, Germany will share the latest findings from studies of spiritual and sexual harm in Europe.

Dr Rocio Figueroa, a Peruvian theologian from Te Kupenga Catholic Theological College, Aotearoa, New Zealand, will speak about her work with Catholic Women Religious in Africa where she has been piloting a successful educational program for building safeguarding practices and policies.

Dr Tracy McEwan and Dr Kathleen McPhillips from the University of Newcastle, Australia, co-authors of the International Survey of Catholic Women will report on their work looking at historical patterns of harm and resilience among congregations of women religious in Australia.

The preference is attendance on both days, but if that is not possible, you are able to come on one day only. Please indicate this on the registration form, for catering purposes.
