Ormond Rush is a priest of the Townsville diocese, with a doctorate in theology from the Gregorian University, Rome. In July 2021, he was appointed to the commission of theologians preparing for the 2023 Synod of Bishops in Rome on the theme of “synodality.” He has also been appointed to the group of theological advisors for the Plenary Council in Australia in October 2021. His most recent book, The Vision of Vatican II: Its Fundamental Principles was awarded First Place in the theological and philosophical studies category of the 2020 Catholic Press Association Book Awards in North America. He is currently Associate Professor and Reader at Australian Catholic University, Brisbane campus.
MOST REV SHANE MACKINLAY
BISHOP OF SANDHURST
Shane Mackinlay was ordained as Bishop of Sandhurst in 2019 and had been a parish priest in the Diocese of Ballarat for more than 20 years before that.
He completed doctoral studies in philosophy in Leuven, Belgium, and lectured in philosophy at Catholic Theological College (University of Divinity), Melbourne, where he was Master for nearly 10 years.
He is Vice-President of the Fifth Plenary Council of Australia.

Director Pastoral Ministries, Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle
Teresa has worked in the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle since 2005. In her present role, as Director of Pastoral Ministries, Teresa supports Bishop Bill Wright as a member of the Diocesan Leadership Group in pastoral matters across the diocese – parishes, chaplaincies, family ministries, pastoral planning, diocesan councils, diocesan synod.....
Prior to this she served the Catholic Church as a Pastoral Associate, as a secondary school Religious Education Co-ordinator, maths and science teacher. She began her professional career as a Biomedical Scientist working in hospital pathology. She is married to Allen and they have five children and a number of grandchildren.
