JUBILEE SONG: JOURNEY OF FAITH - CRA

Catholic Religious Australia commissioned the gifted Simon Hyland to compose and perform a song for the Jubilee for Consecrated Life, as a uniquely Australian musical contribution for the year-long celebration of the 2025 Jubilee Year.

Journey of Faith - CRA expresses the wide range of ministries in which Religious women and men live and share the joy of the Gospel. Read the media release.

The song and music video have been created as a gift of celebration. They bring to life the spirit and hope of consecrated life. The opening strains of the didgeridoo, played by three First Nations boys from Perth, ground us in Australia and takes us on a journey which reveals the lived experience of religious life.

When asked about the journey of faith, CRA President, Gerard Brady CFC, recalls that Pope Francis has asked Religious Institutes around the globe to “wake up the world” by being “real witnesses” to a counter-cultural way of life that relies on generosity and self-forgetfulness.

Enlisting the talents of videographer, Matthew Howard, the video clip has been prepared with contributions from CRA members around Australia.

It is freely available for use as a stand-alone song or with the video clip, it can be accessed either from this webpage or through CRA’s YouTubeJourney of Faith - CRA can be found on a broad range of online music platforms, such as Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Amazon, Deezer, Instagram, Tidal and more.

It is also being shared on Common Home TV.
