New Leaders

There are two main parts in this CRA Handbook For New Leaders of Religious Institutes and Societies of Apostolic Life.

The first part offers you the opportunity to pause and reflect upon the nature and gift of Christian leadership, in the context of religious life. This is not a comprehensive presentation, but a starting point for consideration. There are four sections:

• Touchstones – Principles that anchor religious life and ministry

• The nature of leadership – an invitation to ‘dive deep, fly high’

• The paradox of leadership – apparent ‘contrasts’ within a view of the whole

• The eyes of leadership – what ‘lens’ do you look through?

The second part focuses on essential ‘systems’ information for your role and the organisational practicalities of leading a Religious Institute or Society of Apostolic Life. It includes information on how the CRA secretariat can support you in practical ways, it outlines the strategic vision of Council, the advocacy work CRA does, the purpose of the committees, the CRA Statutes and much more.
