Mercy Foundation seeks applicants for Social Justice Small Grants Program

The Mercy Foundation is now accepting applications for its Social Justice Small Grants Program.  

The Mercy Foundation was established by the Sisters of Mercy, North Sydney in 1990. It is an organisation committed to social justice and structural change to create greater social equity and inclusion in the Australian community. 

“The Mercy Foundation is an organisation committed to social justice and structural change with the goal of creating greater social equity and inclusion in the Australian community. The Mercy Foundation addresses its social justice agenda through seed funding, advocacy and education,” its website says. 

“The key intent of the work of the Mercy Foundation is to assist communities and organisations to build capacity that will help create structural change and bring about greater social justice in Australia.” 

The Mercy Foundation’s Social Justice Small Grants Program provides seed funding to assist communities and organisations to build capacity that will help create structural change and bring about greater social justice in Australia. 

“Grants up to $10,000 are available for initiatives addressing social justice issues in communities across Australia,” the website says. 

Applications regarding First Nations Peoples will be prioritised. Applications are due by midnight on Monday, 11 March 2024.
